A distinctive perspective

The project links the real experience of pedestrians, bodily difference, accessibility, public space, data, technology, urban justice and institutional accountability. It asks not only how many people walk, but how people with different abilities and circumstances experience the city—and how that knowledge should shape public decisions.

Books matter here

Book introductions are central to Abershahr. They help students encounter recent publications and influential work on walkability, public space and human-centred cities, and move from one book toward a wider research path.

A living migration project

The redesign and transfer are managed as a continuing project so that decisions, records and original materials remain traceable. No historical article or image is removed to create the English edition.
